Clean Energy Alliance’s PeakSmart Savers program offers residential customers the opportunity to save up to 30% on electric generation rates by shifting their energy use during high-demand periods. Available to most CEA residential customers enrolled in eligible time-of-use rates (TOU-DR, TOU-DR-1, TOU DR-2, EV-TOU, EV-TOU-2 and EV-TOU-5), the program provides lower on-peak and off-peak rates throughout the year. During PeakSmart Days (up to 18 times per year), participants receive text or email alerts and are encouraged to reduce energy use from 4-9 p.m. Energy used during these hours incurs a Load Reduction Adder of $1.10 per kWh.
Customers who sign up in 2025 receive a 12-month Bill Protection guarantee. If your bill is higher with PeakSmart Savers than it would be outside of the program, CEA will refund the difference.
