An important decision will be made by in the Fall about funding for the San Pasqual Academy (SPA). The Op-Ed by Erin Evans tells why this should not happen. This school is unique and a huge positive support for our older foster youth. Please send an email to the BOS and comment in support of SPA . UPDATE: We thought this would be heard on August 18th but now it looks like it will be later in the fall.
The SPA is located near the Safari Park. It is a wonderful place and serves so many children when they are most vulnerable.
Email the Board of Supervisors and let them know you support the San Pasqual Academy and you want them to keep it open and serving these youth for years to come. File your comment as a general public comment
Tell them that we should fully support this facility and program that is so successful for the most vulnerable children in our community.
