In 2021, we were part of a team that led to one of the best municipal Climate Action Plans (CAP) in the County. Unfortunately, since then much of the CAP has not been implemented by the current City Council leadership. Review the Escondido Climate Action Plan.
We continue to work for protection of the environment and promotion of environmental justice in the most impacted neighborhoods of Escondido.
As we act to stop the harm, we also want to find ways to increase our resilience as individuals, families, and as a city. We want to be intentional so that our actions also move us in the direction of building resilient and just communities that can sustain all of us into the future.
We advocate for city policies that reduce emissions and support resilience and quality of life at the city level. We will share information on how individuals and neighborhoods can reduce their impacts and increase their resilience.
